Global Warming Big Issue
This is just my opinion, but I have not seen significant human changes that would influence gas emissions and storage. There is also a lack of consensus around the ultimate impact. [1] I am not comfortable with some of the proposed changes, such as Bill Gates wanting to dim the sun. That could also go horribly sideways and I have concerns about our ability to dial that back. There has also been an increase in volcanic activity which adds to the gas feedback loops and I am not sure how we address them or even begin to understand how that fits into the big picture. There are changes in ocean currents, some getting warmer, some colder and this releases CO2 in some places and allows for storage in others. Storage is slower than release. I believe we need more sensors around the world measuring much more than CO2.

Mars may be emerging from an ice age, according to a new study
Not really, no... The factors that cause large scale climate changes on planets relate to how the orbit of the planet changes over time, in periodic ways. Mars and Earth, being different planets, have a different "schedule" for warming/cooling.Earth is actually "supposed" to be heading into a cooler period, but it's clear that human influence has dramatically changed that timeline.
Here's a great overview of some of the factors involved:
⬐ mason240It's not like they orbit the same star or anything.⬐ JshWright⬐ 6d6b73The star is not the primary driver of periodic climate variation. The planet might still be going into a cooler period, while what we see right now is just a temporary warming that will trigger that cooling. ( i.e warming causes glaciers to melt, which in turns changes/stops jet streams, which lowers the temperature all over the globe )⬐ JshWrightMelting glaciers results in a lower albedo, which results in more warming.⬐ espadrineThe data collected points unanimously to this not having happened in the previous ice ages.
