Hacker News Stories and Comments
All the comments and stories posted to Hacker News that reference this video. How is it practical? It's a beautiful design, but far simpler designs can run circles around it in every scenario I can imagine. A small version might make for a fun desk toy. When I think practical, I think Boston Dynamics.

Their RHex bot is pretty impressive too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISznqY3kESI
Nice. My friend did his PhD on gecko adhesives too[1]. He later built[2] a "six-legged" robot like Boston Dynamics' RHex 'bot[3].[1] http://northdesignlabs.com/?page_id=12 [2] http://northdesignlabs.com/?p=38 [3] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISznqY3kESI
