⬐ xbmcuserRecycling is a cop out and companies should not be allowed to use it as green badge. What some of the people at recycling company did might be technically wrong but apple throwing away 1000s of working devices is worse⬐ heyyeah⬐ brokenmachineApple has a refurbishing program where customers get a certified refurbished produce with a warranty. What happened in this (YouTuber reading of an) article is theft.Just Apple doing Apple stuff.Hi Louis Rossmann!
⬐ dbuderLink this to the fanboys when they bring up Apple's eco credentials. Pretending that using recycled aluminum is anything but standard while doing their damned best to stop people repairing their products.⬐ gcatalfamoContracts and agreements aside, isn’t the reuse of devices actually less polluting than recycling itself?I know this is not the point, but still.
⬐ KozmoNau7By a decent margin, yes. There's a reason it's "reduce, reuse, recycle" in that order, but obviously companies are not interested in their customers reducing their consumption, nor are they interested in letting them reuse or repair too much. They want us to buy something shiny and new on a regular basis, and to throw away our old devices for destructive recycling so they can't be reused or repaired.
⬐ zepto“Obviously” - or not - since more working devices means more services revenue.
