While some of us are big fans of the Amiga 3000 and Amiga 3000T, the 4000T is definitely a desirable machine.
The A4000's IDE is absolutely horribly suited to the Amiga. SCSI with real DMA, like the A3000(T)'s and A4000T's, works wonderfully with AmigaDOS. Amiga's IDE implementation, on the other hand, requires tons of CPU work to do transfers. The 4000T shows that people knew that the IDE was not optimal.
